Learning to live in the moment is a journey that reveals life’s greatest lesson — to receive everything as an invitation to know your true self.

Carpe diem! Ever since I first heard those words, I longed to know: What does it really mean to seize the day? Was it possible to seize every moment, every day? Could I embrace life fully under any circumstances?

The seeker in me had to know. How could I carpe diem my life?

This insatiable curiosity launched me on a breadcrumb trail that ultimately led me to the heart of it all in mindfulness, the science and art of being present with all that is.

Instead of letting my days slip by, mindfulness taught me how to truly live in the moment, fully awake to my experience no matter what life brought. Even when overwhelming loss arrived at my door, I discovered within me a calm amidst the storm.

Through all the horror and sadness, I was able to remain present to myself, to my family, and to the dying. Mindfulness proved to be the greatest gift I had ever given or received.

We know that life is finite, and yet we live as if we have all the time in the world. I’ve learned that to seize each moment is to be in full contact with your present experience, whatever that may be. Presence allows you to savor life’s little blessings and to meet life’s biggest challenges with equanimity.

Ours is an ever-changing world that can’t always be controlled. But you can control how you respond. Presence gives you insight so you can receive each moment as an invitation to step into a new way of being. The result is less stress and more joy... every moment, every day.

About Kristin

Kristin Fritz is a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher, spiritual mentor, and love activist.

With an emphasis on ease and simplicity, she delivers practical tools and insights for a lifestyle of less stress and more purpose.

Kristin’s training includes the University of California San Diego Center for Mindfulness; Loyola Marymount program for Yoga, Mindfulness and Social Change; Davidji’s Masters of Wisdom Teacher Certification; Coach Training Alliance; and HeartMath Institute. She has served as an ambassador for Lululemon and Yoga2Life Coaching.

Demonstrating her passion for accessibility and giving back, Kristin’s online meditations are available at no cost, and all proceeds from her meditation classes are donated to nonprofit organizations that promote healing justice.

Kristin travels regularly to India – the birthplace of yoga – to deepen her practice and understanding of the teachings that have inspired her for decades.
